It appears The Young and the Restless’ Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) suffered a mishap over this past weekend. The CBS soap vet posted a video of herself dancing, as she hopped on one leg, and asked her followers, “Who would like a bloodhound…?” No, the takeaway from the scene wasn’t the cute green sundress she was wearing or even the fact that she was barefoot but rather the fracture boot seen on her left foot. Though she didn’t elaborate, by her statement, it’s safe to say her sweet pup Rufus might have had something to do with the injury.
Anyone who owns a dog has surely stumbled over them a time or two since our furbabies love to be in the thick of things, which sometimes means underfoot. Could it be that’s what happened to Stafford?
Fans weren’t the only ones to wonder what went wrong… Stafford’s good gal pal, General Hospital star Finola Hughes (Anna), also asked, “What happened?” And considering the actress was smiling in the video, some fans had a little fun and asked if maybe Christine ran down Phyllis this time or if the latter got injured chasing down Danny’s tour bus.
The following day, Stafford posted another video with the hashtag “just a sprained ankle” and took viewers along as she prepared her foot for the inevitable shower. Watch below to see how her “hack” worked.
Last November, Stafford posted a funny video of Rufus staring at her through a window while she jokingly stated, “Can I just have one [bleeping] minute to myself, please.”

And before that, she shared a cute shot with her arms wrapped around the family’s bloodhound as her kids, Natalia and Jameson, stood close by.
In any case, it’s clear Rufus likes to be with his family — and vice versa — so Stafford wouldn’t be the first person to fall victim to that kind of puppy love! However, on a serious note, we hope the actress feels better soon. And if you see Phyllis walking with a limp, you’ll know why.
