On June 7, stars gathered for the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards and while watching to see who took home a golden statuette was the highlight of the show, there were a few tidbits thrown around on the red carpet prior to the big event. By now fans have heard that during an interview with ABC 7 News, executive producer Frank Valentini teased, “A former cast member is coming back. And I think that the audience will go crazy for him.”
Since then, some fans have speculated — and hoped and begged and pleaded and hoped and — that the “him” in question could be Bryan Craig and that the ABC soap could finally be resurrecting his character. And while there has been no confirmation that Morgan Corinthos is alive, the actor did send a message to his TV dad for Father’s Day — one that could mean more than meets the eye.

“Happy Father’s Day Maurice Benard,” Craig posted on X, along with a photo of the former father/son duo, to which Benard replied, “Love you.”

If you recall, Morgan was presumed dead in 2017 after stealing Julian’s car, which was rigged with a bomb and exploded, a hit ordered by Olivia Jerome, one meant to kill her brother. And while we know John J. York is returning this week as Mac, and we’d love nothing more than to see Craig bring Morgan back to Port Charles, again, we’ll just have to wait and see if Michael’s little bro will be the “him” that “the audience will go crazy for.”
