Greg Rikaart may be playing double duty in daytime as Days of Our Lives Leo and Kevin on The Young and the Restless but during his downtime, he’s a husband to Robert Sudduth, a dad to son Montgomery and recently added competitive runner to his resume. The actor just announced some details that left his castmates and fans cheering.
“Some excited news to share,” Rikaart stated on social media. “I’m running the New York City Marathon in November and raising money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.” He went on to urge fans to donate to the cause via his page on the St. Jude Heroes website then expressed his thanks before adding, “I’m very excited to be running and excited to be helping St. Jude’s.”
Eileen Davidson (Salem’s ex-Kristen, Genoa City’s Ashley), who he’s worked with on both soaps, shouted, “Yes,” as Martha Madison (Belle) sent her support with some high-five emojis.
The big race will take place on Sunday, November 3, so the actor has plenty of time to prepare for the event, which means fans can spread the word and help to support Rikaart for a cause that will in turn help children and their families get the resources they need to beat childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
