The Young and the Restless viewers know him for playing Cane in Genoa City and General Hospital fans got their first look at Daniel Goddard as Professor Dalton in Port Charles on April 15. However, when it comes to the real world, the actor is known as Dad to sons Ford and Sebastian and the latter recently stepped into his father’s shoes in a really funny way…
Goddard posted a video featuring Sebastian and stated, “So, I was going to post a video today and check in with you to see if you had a good day and if you managed to tune in to see Professor Dalton’s first episode on General Hospital.” When he told his son what he planned to do, Sebastian recorded a parody video of how his dad’s videos come across to followers. The actor then warned, “Sebastian, I’m putting you on blast!” but he clearly got a kick out of it and assured that the video was “pretty darn funny.”

In the video, Sebastian is seated behind the wheel of a car, like his dad is often seen when recording messages for fans. “Hey guys, it’s Daniel,” he began — and boy did he get the voice down perfectly! “I just want you guys to know that no matter what you’re going through you’ll always pull through. I love you guys. Every single one of you. I love you all and you guys mean everything to me. And I think that deep inside even if things don’t go your way that you should push through no matter what and make sure that your dreams are your dreams. So again, Happy Easter everybody. I hope you guys all have a good one and see you guys.”
Not only did fans get a kick out of Sebastian’s rendition of his dad, Goddard’s former castmate, The Young and the Restless’ Lauralee Bell (Christine) thought he did a perfect job imitating his father and stated, “Oh, he’s got you down — and really great hair!”
And with that, we give Sebastian props, and welcome Goddard to his new daytime home. And if the ABC soap ever needs a voiceover for Dalton, we have a feeling Sebastian would jump at the chance to fill in!
