Legendary daytime actress Kim Zimmer spent years bringing Reva to life on Guiding Light and though it’s been nearly 16 years since the CBS soap went off the air, her fans love it every time they get to see her back in action. Well, they’ll have the chance to do so once again when Zimmer takes the stage in a new role.

The actress has landed the lead role of Carrie Watts in Theatre Raleigh’s production of The Trip to Bountiful. Viewers will watch as Carrie, an elderly Southern woman yearning to escape the city, sets out on a risky journey to her rural hometown of Bountiful, Texas. With her family in hot pursuit, Carrie stumbles upon kindness and compassion and discovers the true meaning of home.
