Daytime stars likely have their rituals that help them get into character and The Young and the Restless’ Susan Walters just may have found the cutest way to get into hers. Viewers have watched many moments where Diane has exhibited a bit of sass and now the CBS soap actress has given her followers a peek into her inspiration.
Earlier this week, Walters posted two photos of her granddaughter Nora and playfully stated, “Channeling this sassiness for my scenes today.” The first pic showed the little cutie wearing a pink strawberry hat and matching heart sunglasses with a hand to her mouth as she peered from behind the lens. However, it had been the second shot that may have given her grandma the inspiration she needed to channel the extra sass — just look at that side-eye!
The photos were taken from Waikoloa, Hawaii, where Walters and her family spent some time away on vacation. In another post, the actress shared a pic of her husband, Linden Ashby (ex-Cameron), “PeePaw and his lil’ wahine.”

And prior to that, she sent an “aloha from Hawaii!” shoutout along with a group shot of the family as they smiled for the camera on the beach.
Those who follow Walters have likely seen the various other super-sweet memories she’s shared with Ashby and their granddaughter, like back in October of 2024 of them with their “little pumpkin,” and we look forward to seeing how little Nora inspires her grandma next!
