The wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles and its surrounding areas have affected so many people and their families, as well as the wildlife. Various soap stars not only were forced to evacuate their homes, they lost them as well and our hearts absolutely break for all of those who are continuing to face this devastation.
Daytime stars have taken to social media stories to highlight resources to help those in need and Bold & Beautiful’s supervising producer, Casey Kasprzyk, as well as numerous CBS soap stars, posted an Instagram story asking for help for one of their own. A GoFundMe page was created for the family of Herbie Weaver, to which Kasprzyk stated, “Herbie has been a stage manager with The Bold and the Beautiful for many years. And now he needs our help. Please consider donating to help him and his family.”
Annika Noelle (Hope) shared Good Good Good’s post, where they “always look for the helpers in times of crisis.” Here you’ll find resources and “stories of people making a difference during the wildfires.”
The Young and the Restless’ Courtney Hope (Sally) reposted details from the Pasadena Humane shelter. Not only did they list items needed but if your pet is in need of supplies, they can help.
Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) shared Altadena Teen Girls Fire Recovery post, where you can donate personal items, beauty and hair care products and clothing for teenage victims of the fires.

Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe) included the County of Los Angeles’ post that alerted that the “L.A. County Library will host FEMA staff at seven locations to allow residents affected by the wildfires to submit applications for disaster relief.”
Days of Our Lives’ Emily O’Brien (Gwen/Theresa) shared a video from the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) and stated, “If anybody is in need of food, bedding, supplies, toiletries etc, we are now at IATSE trying to get word out that all of this is available to whomever needs it. There is a surplus here as you can see.” They will be open now through Friday, January 17, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at 2520 West Olive Avenue Burbank, where anyone can also stop by to drop off items. Please note, bottled water and non perishable food are needed the most.
General Hospital’s Laura Wright (Carly) passed along a message from Mark Hyman, M.D., who relayed how people can protect themselves from the toxic pollutants the fires are releasing into the air.
And, of course, we urge anyone in need to visit California’s official website, where you will not only find resources, but will get real-time updates, can apply for assistance, sign up for alerts and so much more.
We continue to keep everyone affected by the fires in our thoughts and prayers.
