General Hospital viewers are going to see a new look for Michael for one episode this week. In fact, it’ll be due to a casting change when The Young and the Restless alum Robert Adamson (ex-Noah) once again steps in for Chad Duell. Soap Opera Digest has learned that the temporary recast is due to a scheduling conflict.
The last time fans saw the former CBS soap fave in Port Charles was in 2022 when Adamson stepped in twice for Duell for eight episodes. The first time, Nina had taken Michael and Willow to court for vitiation rights where Wiley was concerned. While a judge sided with the couple and Nina was denied any type of visits with Wiley, Carly learned that Nina was Willow’s mother and kept quiet about the DNA results.
Then a few months later, Adamson returned during a time when Willow was stepping back from her work at the hospital and had nightmares that Nelle would return and kill her and Michael just so she could kidnap Wiley and take him away from them forever.

Since Adamson’s last ABC soap appearance, he turned up in two movies, playing Patrick in The Final Rose and as Fletcher in One Night Stand Murder, plus he also appeared as Oliver in the short Midnight Ruin.
So fans, keep an eye out this week as the actor briefly makes his way back to Port Charles and stay tuned for Duell to return shortly thereafter.
